Start with a task you can describe
Choose a recurring task and describe its inputs, processing steps, and expected output. For example, categorizing form submissions and routing them to the right person. If a task is vague, it is difficult to tell whether the AI performed it correctly.
Separate rules from reasoning
A step that only checks fixed conditions may be better handled with conventional code. AI is useful for interpreting unstructured content or suggesting actions from context. Combining both approaches makes the workflow easier to control.
Set boundaries before automating
Specify which actions the system may perform and which decisions require human review. Prepare evaluation cases, record failures, and monitor per-task costs before expanding the scope.
